Sinasamba Kita is a Philippine
drama that aired on GMA Network starting April 30,
2007. The series is the first instalment of Sine
Novela, a series of remake of films. The original
movie was released back in 1982.
After producing top-rating comics-based television
programs in the primetime block such as Darna, Mars
Ravelo's Captain Barbell and Bakekang, GMA-7 rekindles
the immortal lines and unforgettable characters
of timeless Filipino movies that will further capture
the viewer’s interest with the grand premiere
of the newest movie-turned-television series –
Sine Novela.
For its first movie turned series, GMA-7’s
Sine Novela presents the classic, award-winning
film Sinasamba Kita, a compelling story of two half-sisters
whose entwined loves and lives change when true
love and destiny intervene.
They are half-sisters, connected by blood. But
to Divina, Nora is just her late father's illegitimate
daughter. Yet, despite the harsh treatment she gets,
Nora remains awestruck and continues to adulate
her strong-willed older sister. But even the meekest
of people can only bear so much. Nora leaves the
comfort of home to find her own place under the
sun, and in due time, she and Divina are to meet
again to settle the score once and for all.

Corazon
Corazon is Nora's mother. She is proud of the life
she leads and she cuts herself off from her only
child when Nora chooses to live at the mansion with
Divina.
Divina
Divina is the eldest daughter of Don Jose Ferrer.
She is a woman who grew up with the best that life
has to offer. And because she is thought to be the
only child of the deceased businessman, she is the
one who is expected to take over the business empire.
Very business-like and stiff, Divina can also appear
cold and ruthless. She loved her late father very
much, and thus even with a heavy heart, she will
do her duty as the guardian of Nora. But just like
how she deals with her businesses, Divina becomes
the controlling and domineering sister in Nora's
life.
Donya Silva
Sylvia is the legal wife of Don Jose Ferrer, and
the mother of Divina. After she finds out that her
husband is dead, she comes back to the Philippines
to discover the illegitimate child of her husband
living in the same house as her daughter. Together
with her sister Isabelita, she will become the force
that Nora will fear.
Isabellita
Sylvia's sister, Isabelita, is the other antagonist
in Nora's life. When Sylvia dies, she becomes Nora's
ultimate nightmare who will stop at nothing to make
her life miserable.
Jerry
A self-made man, Jerry works for the company owned
by Divina's family. Caught between two sisters,
Jerry will unwittingly widen the rift between Divina
and Nora by falling in love with latter, and not
the former.
Larry
The Ferrer family's lawyer, Larry is the one who
advises Divina to change Don Ferrer's last will
and testament. A very loyal and trust-worthy man,
he always wants what's the best for the family,
especially when it comes to Divina.
Nora
The youngest daughter of Don Jose Ferrer, Nora
grew up in the squatters' area not knowing her real
father. Growing up poor, Nora begins to worship
Divina when the latter takes her in and saves her
from her old life. She will do anything for Divina
-- even turn her back on her true love, just to
make her sister happy.
Oscar
Nora's childhood friend, Oscar is a struggling,
self-supporting man. Even when they were kids, he
already knew that he wanted Nora and no one else.
He keeps hoping that Nora would also fall in love
with him, but instead he becomes the instrument
that Divina uses to drive a wedge between Nora and
Jerry.
