Maria Flordeluna is a Filipino
soap opera that currently airs on the ABS-CBN television
network in the Philippines and worldwide on TFC,
The Filipino Channel.
The series is based on the radio drama of the 1970s
entitled "Flordeluna" written by Marcos
Navarro Sacol. "Flordeluna" was first
adapted for a television version in the late 1980s
starring Janice de Belen in the title role.
Maria Flordeluna tells the story of the title character,
a 10 year old girl, and her family.
The former hit radio drama of the 70s has once
again come to life on the small screen. Maria Flordeluna
tells the tale of a girl and her family, separated
by time and circumstances.
Eliza Pineda, a familiar kid on the small screen,
will be playing the very charming Maria Flordeluna.
Eliza is currenly appearing on hit comedy show Going
Bulilit and has had plum roles on Bituin as the
young Desiree Del Valle and on Maging Sino Ka Man
as the young Bea Alonzo. She also played Piolo Pascual’s
daughter in the Star Cinema blockbuster ‘Til
There Was You. The young girl bested 1,300 kids
who have auditioned for the role of Maria Flordeluna.
When asked why she thinks she got chosen, her only
reply was, "Siguro po mabilis po talaga kasi
ako umiyak."

Eliza Pineda - Maria Flordeluna Alicante
- Maria Flordeluna is the oldest daughter of Leo
and Elvira. She was named after a white flower that
only blooms at night.
Eula Valdes - Josephine "Jo" Espero
- Jo is a teacher who first falls in love with
Leo Alicante in 1994, and marries him 13 years later.
She has one daughter, Wilma.
Albert Martinez - Col. Leo Alicante
- Leo Alicante is the father of Maria Flordeluna
and Reneboy with his deceased wife Elvira Aragoncillo.
He is now married to Jo Espero.
John Estrada - Gary Alvarado
- Gary Alvarado is a soldier in the Philippine
military, and Leo's half-brother
Vina Morales - Maria Elvira Aragoncillo Alicante
- Elvira Aragoncillo is a governor's daughter who
falls in love with, and marries Leo Alicante. She
dies after being shot by rebels and enemies of Leo
and the Philippine military.
Liza Lorena - Brigida Espero
- Brigida is Jo's mother and Wilma's Grandmother.
Alwyn Uytingco - Jacob Charles "JC" Custodio
- JC is a student at the university Annie attends,
and is the leader of an on-campus action group.
Jill Yulo - Annie Natividad
- Annie is the daughter of Tibor, who is currently
attending college and lives with her father at the
Alicante home.
Johnny Delgado - Ret. Gen. Carlos Alvarado
- Carlos Alvarado is a retired Philippine military
general and father to both Leo and Gary.
Roldan Aquino - Tibor Natividad
- Tibor is Leo's uncle who now serves as the family
driver.
Nash Aguas - Renato Manuel "Reneboy" Alicante
- Reneboy is the youngest son of Leo and Elvira,
and brother to Maria Flordeluna.
Kristel Fulgar - Wilma Espero
- Wilma is the daughter of Jo Espero.

- Soling is the trusted servant of the Alicante
